Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account on Alync, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users of Alync, including both partners in a pair.

2. Service description

Alync is a relationship health platform that integrates with WHOOP and Oura Ring wearable devices to provide shared health data dashboards and AI-generated insights to paired users. The service is provided on a subscription basis.

3. Subscription and billing

Alync operates on a subscription model:

• Monthly plan: £9.99/month
• Annual plan: £99/year
• 14-day free trial available to new customers — no card required to start

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal in your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

4. Free trial

Your 14-day free trial begins when you complete onboarding. At the end of the trial, your account will expire if no payment method has been added. Your data is retained for 30 days after trial expiry, after which it may be deleted.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share your account with people outside your pair
• Attempt to access another user's data without authorisation
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
• Upload false or fabricated health data

6. Health data disclaimer

Alync is not a medical device. The data displayed and insights generated are for informational and relationship-awareness purposes only. Nothing in Alync constitutes medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. AI insights are generated by a language model and may contain errors.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alync shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to relationship decisions made based on AI insights, inaccurate health data from connected devices, or service interruptions.

8. Intellectual property

The Alync brand, product, and all associated code and design belong to Alync. Your health data remains yours. We do not claim ownership of any data you upload or that is synced from your devices.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
